Double Tennis Triumph 🎾

Congratulations to the U19 team (Pietro O'Dochurtaigh, Michael Morley, Leo Murray and Sylvan Mayer) who won their final group match, 3-2, against Rochestown last Friday.

Never ones to make it easy for themselves, the team needed Leo and Michael to win a super doubles set to keep themselves in the running and qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Congratulations also to our DCS U16 tennis team (Finn Harding, Ethan O’Leary, Oran Power and Cillian Casey) following a comprehensive 4-0 win against Clonakilty Community School on Tuesday.

The win consolidates the team’s position at the top of Group B and ensures home advantage in the semi-final stage of the Schools’ Tennis Shield against St. Augustine’s, Dungarvan next week. Credit must go to each player for representing the school while displaying respect for the opponent and a fierce determination to win. A great week for tennis! 🎾
