Successful Field Trip to Garryvoe
The Leaving Cert Geography class took a trip to Garryvoe yesterday to undertake their field trip component. The study this year looked at how the geomorphic processes of transportation and deposition has helped to shape the Irish landscape.
It was a calm, dry day, with some sunny spells as the students measured the height of sand dunes, the beach profile and the waves to name just a few tasks. This study and the write up will account for 20% of the students final grade.
A great day was had by all, applying classroom knowledge to the real world. The free soup from Cully and Sully helped! 🌊 🚌
