An Uplifting Carol Service
Christmas would not be complete in DCS without our moving nativity play and beautiful carol service.
This year a few unexpected guests joined the shepherds and wise men in visiting Baby Jesus - a father who had been to the food bank, a very busy executive and some young people. All met with a road block on their way to the Crib but the true spirit of Christmas won out. Racial and social prejudices were overcome and all were welcomed. The message: We all have a role to play in brining peace to our world, such an important message in our current climate.
Gifted musicians and our fabulous choir added joy and hope to the event with beautiful renditions of Walking in the Air, O Holy Night and Fairytale of New York. Prayers were read in Italian, Japanese, French, German, Spanish and of course Irish and English.
The commitment and enthusiasm of students and teachers has to be commended for making this an occasion to be remembered. πΆπ€π
