Gradam na Scoile 2022

DCS Gradam na Scoile was a fitting celebration to acknowledge and reward the achievements of our students. A very fine group of students, who represent what is best here in DCS were singled out from their peers and invited to an awards ceremony.

 To achieve any award, a student had to have achieved excellence in their field  and be respectful, show perseverance, have leadership skills and integrity!! So, it is a great honour to receive a DCS award. 

They reflected the vast variety of talents our students have - academic, sporting, musical, public speaking, debating and humanitarian. The citations were heartwarming, uplifting and well deserved.  The feeling of pride in the assembly hall was palpable as one by one  the boys were presented with their bespoke glassware and certificates.

 The ceremony ended with the presentation of our highest accolade, The Principal’s Award to joint worthy winners Ben Loughrey and Jacob Jackson. Ben and Jacob epitomise what DCS is about. They have excelled in all aspects of school both academically, socially and with their involvement in extracurricular activities.  These two students walk around the school with a sense of pride.  They wear our uniform well.

So to the Gradam awardees of 2022, congratulations, we salute you for embracing the school ethos, school culture, and being fantastic role models for your peers. The future looks bright for you and DCS.
