Rowing
We train twice weekly in our state of the art Gym and on the water in partnership with local rowing clubs: Lee RC, Blackrock RC and Shannon BC. We compete in both water tournaments and the indoor national tournaments. Our school team hold several winners medals as well as dozens of national record times. Past pupils Ronan and Alex Byrne also hold World and European titles.
DCS Rowing Club is a real community, where life long friends are made. In May 2024, with a heavy heart we said goodbye to Olann Bradley and Ronan Murray, the two most influential rowers in the success of building our club, coaching the team and delivering success on the national stage. Both boys were rowers on DCS' first ever team to compete at the Schools Championships in UL, breaking Irish records and taking home gold medals.
