Science Workshops For Primary Schools

As part of Science Week, a nationwide programme, various local primary school students visited DCS to engage in a hands-on laboratory workshops packed with discovery and fun!

In the Biology workshop students explored the hidden world of bacteria by examining samples from Actimel and they enjoyed a close-up view of their own cheek cells under the microscope.

In the Chemistry workshop students created an acid and base reaction by testing different vinegar concentrations to see how much foam was produced. They experienced a burst of colour as various element salts in a Bunsen burner flame were observed!
