DCS - Top of Coding Leaderboard

As part of our TY programme students are given the opportunity to learn coding through the Coding Ireland Digital Skills learning platform. This hands on, interactive module introduces students to the world of coding, starting with basic concepts before progressing to more advanced projects, encompassing Microbits and Robotics.

This fantastic coding module fosters an appreciation for the role of technology in everyday life and helps students ascertain if a career in Information Technology is of interest to them. It also helps students enhance their problem solving, collaboration and entrepreneurial skills.

At the moment, our TY students are topping the leaderboard competing with several schools across the country on a daily basis. Well done to all involved! 💻🖱️⌨️👨‍💻
