DCS Jazz It Up 🎺 🎶

The DCS Music Club and Choir were delighted to perform in front of an appreciative audience at St Columba's, our neighbouring girls and boys primary schools yesterday. This performance celebrated jazz coinciding with the upcoming Cork Jazz Festival this weekend. Our students prepared for weeks and their hard work shone through.

The leadership team, composing of Eoin, Daniel, Adam and Leo were the MC for the day. The choir delivered impressive performances of well known songs such as The Bare Necessities, September and I'm Still Standing. Ciarán Canty, a 4th-year student, gave a stunning rendition of Dean Martin’s That’s Amore, supported by the choir.

The music group captivated the audience with popular songs such as Let it Go from Frozen and Coldplay’s Viva la Vida, alongside jazz classics like Hit the Road Jack, Don’t Worry, Be Happy, and Fly Me to the Moon.

The concert provided a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their musical talents to a local primary school which many of them had attended. The concert highlighted the strong community spirit within DCS. Congratulations to everyone involved! 🎶 🎷🎺🤗 🎼🎻🎸🎹🪗🎶
