Inspiring Wheelchair Basketball Event in UCC

Last Thursday a group of Transition Year students took part in the annual Wheelchair Basketball event organised by UCC Physical Education students. Between games there were plenty of challenges and competitions to partake in as well as information on the courses on offer in UCC.

The team competed in the group stage against Rochestown, Christians and St. Colman's College, Fermoy and came out on top to qualify for the semi-finals. The team unfortunately lost out in the semi-final to a competitive Bantry side. 

A brilliant day out was had and no doubt the students now have a new found respect for the competitive nature of Wheelchair Basketball.
