Shoe Box Appeal -
Teaching Hope, Creating Awareness and Learning Compassion
Our first year 1D religion class organised the Christmas Shoebox Appeal in DCS with great success this year. They filled the shoeboxes with both essential and fun items for less fortunate, vulnerable children around the world.
This is an extremely worthwhile project as it helps children and young adults gain a true understanding of how they can play an active role in empowering others.
A big thanks to all who contributed to its success, especially Cian McGregor who was the driving force behind the cause. Well done to the 1D class and Ms C. O’Mahony for co-ordinating the programme. Their commitment, energy and enthusiasm for the Shoe Box Appeal is to be commended.
