Proud Past Pupil Inspires Our Students

We were extremely fortunate to have, from the Leaving Certificate class of 2003, past pupil Gerard Sherwin, Director with Ernst & Young, zoom-call our business and accounting students today.

Gerard shared many nuggets of wisdom with the boys. He encouraged them to build relationships, to be sound and help people out as this will come back to benefit you when you least expect it! To Gerard improvement is about doing the right things more often. Likewise, failure is success in progress, something not be feared but to be embraced.

Gerards varied career path was very reassuring for the students. He took a while to figure out what he really wanted to do, took a brave decision to switch from a course that wasn’t quite the right fit for him and is now excelling in an area that he loves. We wish Gerard the best of luck in the many ventures he has yet to have!
