Cultural Celebrations in DCS

The DCS annual celebration of culture was a resounding success. The focus this year was on holidays, festivals and celebrations unique to the 42 countries represented in our school.

TY classes, along with the help from 1E, created posters for all countries which are now on display in our library. TY students also interviewed fellow students about their festivals and compiled a fantastic video of the interviews. All students in the school were then given the opportunity to visit the library where they were treated to beautiful music, a video presentation as well as live interviews with senior students from India, Ethiopia, Spain and Ecuador.

It was truly a celebration and appreciation of the rich diversity present in our school. Thanks to all involved and especially Ms Barry Murphy for co-ordinating the event.
