DCS Flying the Flag

Transition Year students, with Ms Lordan, were presented today with an Irish Tricolour to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the first flying of the Irish Flag. The ceremony was attended by secondary school students from across the nation alongside members of the Oireachtas and An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar. The event commemorates the first flying of the Irish National Flag by Thomas Francis Meagher in his native city of Waterford.
