Leaving Cert Graduation Ceremony 2023

“Never let success get to your head and never let failure get to your heart”. This was Eoghan Mackay’s message to his fellow students at a very memorable graduation ceremony held in DCS yesterday evening.

This very special occasion was marked by a beautiful mass where readings, chosen by the boys, reflected the themes of solidarity, perseverance and resilience; qualities our young men aptly demonstrated over their 6 years with us.

A medley of beautiful hymns were sung by the school choir while Hugh Rogers contributed an instrumental piece during the Communion reflection.

Ms. Barry-Murphy encouraged students to focus on what matters most in life, care for themselves and others, while Mr. Barry reminded them that life is not smooth, linear or easy but they would successfully overcome those challenges.

Our very talented artist Kasper Szymocha presented a stunning portrait to Year Head Mr. Bronks as a thank you for his care and guidance.

Finally, Sam Allman-Walsh treated everyone to a rousing rendition of “My Way” before everyone retreated to our sunny courtyard for refreshments, photos and games.

To the LC Class of 2023, a cohort of young men with so much potential and zest for life, we wish you the very best of luck in all that lies ahead. You will be remembered and missed!
