An Open Night is held each September.
We open for applications on October 1st.
Within 2 weeks of the closing date, you will receive the outcome of your application and have one week to accept the offer of a place.
Choices before enrolment
Your son will study 2 Option subjects from a choice of 5 namely: Art, Business Studies, Materials Technology (wood), Metalwork and Technical Graphics. On the Application Form we ask parents to please list in order of preference your son’s choices.
Each student in DCS studies a Modern Foreign Language for the Junior Cycle. You have the choice between French and German.
Choices post Enrolment
Around Easter each parent will be contacted regarding a Parent Information Evening for the incoming first years.
At this meeting you will be furnished with all the details on the choice of Learning Medium for your son. You can choose to use Textbooks or an iPad. We will provide you with feedback on the use of iPads. In DCS students have been using iPads since 2018.
Parents also have the option of purchasing the Textbooks for their son or availing of the school’s Book Rental Scheme. Further details on the Book Rental Scheme are found here.
